DO applying for allopathic residency

As a DO applying to allopathic residencies, will I be able to apply for categorical positions or only advanced positions if I am also planning on doing an osteopathic internship?

If I were to apply to categorical programs , would it be possible to withdraw from the osteopathic internship match if I was faily sure I was going to match allopathically.

The way it went this last year, with the separate matches, you would match into a rotating internship position before the allo match. So you would be removed from all categorical positions by the NRMP.

You could always try to do the allo match and the scramble for a TRI. Remember that the AOA is beginning to be a little more stingy when people are doing allo programs when osteo programs are in their area.
