MCAT 23T (10/5/8)
GPA: 3.46

Yes, not my best work, but I was forced to play into the test earlier than I wanted to. Two major factors for my score were the fact that I did not take orgo and 2nd sem physics as well as the fact that I planned to take the exam in sept after a 3 month study period. I recently got a scholarship to study in University of London Kings (so I went). I was told in march by my dad that I would have to work during the summer to help him meet ends meet (mom recently got sick and left work). So I took the exam in early April, not knowing that was right after British mid-terms (since they dont really give a schedule for mid term exams and just announce them in class). Giving me a great 5 day study period.

Long story short - should I even apply this cycle?

I think it would be a long shot. Probably not worth it to apply this cycle. That 5 on Verbal will get you screened out at many (most?) DO schools. I'm not saying you don't have a valid reason for scoring low (sorry about your mum) but I think you really need to retake that MCAT after a lot more prep.
