Looking at the older threads, EDP is verified fast but I called AMCAS today and they state the EDP is in line with the regular applicant pool. That they don't verify them early? Is this new this year?

Not really. If I can recall, many EDP programs have an application submission cut-off date. I know USC for instance has an application date of mid-July or something and decisions come out October 1st.

Basically they give you a deadline to apply, which gives your app ample time to be verified and you subjected to an interview, all before they release their decisions

They're lying, because the data shows that they are given 1st priority. Which is fine because ultimately it puts them at a disadvantage if they don't get in.
