do endodontists have patient shortages?

just wondering whether endodontists ,or other specialties for that matter, have patient shortages.

Just referred a patient to my local endodontist today (their group(4 endodontists) has a total of 4 offices in CT,MA and NH). A "non emergency"(read as pain free) patient. 1st available appt for the close to $1800 molar endo is just under a month from now.

So atleast in my small cross section of the world, the endo business is solid still. From conversations via Facebook with a few of my classmates who are endodontists all over the Northeast, they appear to not be hurting for patients either currently.
