Hey guys!

I sincerely apologize if this is in another thread somewhere, but I did some searches and didn't see anything. If I missed it, please point me there.

Does anyone know which, if any, anesthesiology programs in California are DO friendly or at least occasionally take DOs?

Thanks!

From what I understand, harbor is about it. Cali programs are very competitive, even for US-MDs

There was a thread on this so try searching again. But for great DO applicants I do believe that you can land a spot in California if you play the game right (aways/awesome board scores/LORs from well know allo faculty/some sort of research) from what I think I remember from when I had a friend applying 2 years ago is that UC davis, Loma Linda, and UCLA-Harbor have at least considered DOs regularly (I think). On a couple of occasions USC? UCLA has taken a DO as well so it seems that at least a couple of years ago they would consider DOs. The UCLA guy is a CA-3, I'm not sure if they regularly consider DOs or if he was just an exception. The other programs UCI/UCSD/UCSF/Stanford/Cedars etc. I don't believe give true consideration to DOs. Good luck.

Thanks! I knew I probably missed it somewhere... I'll go see if I can find it again.
