So I have two questions about the DO grade replacement policy.

Question 1: If I took a class and got a D+ at a community college, but then retook the class at a University and got an A, will the grade replacement work, or does it have to be at the same school? I live three hundred miles away from that first school, which is what made it difficult to retake it there.

Question 2: So if I got a D+ in a class, and then retake the class and get an A, will my transcript look like:

***CASE A***
BEFORE

Class: D+
Retake: A

AFTER

Class: BLANK
Retake: A

OR

***CASE B***
BEFORE

Class: D+
Retake: A

AFTER

Class: A
Retake: A

Meaning do I get two "A's" that BOTH count towards my GPA, or one "A" that counts and one grade that does NOT count towards my GPA?

It does not have to be at the same school, but it has to have at least the same number of credit hours.

If you do grade replacement it will look like Case A. Your replaced grade will have "0" credits when factored in to your AACOMAS GPA.

Thanks for your feedback! Is it possible also to get a grade replacement for a "C" grade?

Yes. They will count the most recent grade. So if you got a C in the past and you receive a B in the new class, only the B will count.

The average gpa on the schools' websites reflect gpa after replacements (aacomas gpa) not the gpa before (school transcript gpa) right?

After grade replacement. It wouldn't make sense for them to do it before the replacement. Every DO school follows AACOMAS, which participates in grade replacement aside from TCOM, which uses TMDSAS.
