Hey guys I'll keep this short and simple...

oGPA: 2.71
sGPA: 2.56
Masters (of Science) GPA: 3.56 (4.0 in my last semester)
DAT: AA: 22/ BIO 24/ GC 20/ OC 23/ nothing below 20 in any other section

I just messed up really bad in undergrad and I was a science major so I have tons of C, 2Ds and 1F 🙁 but everything since my undergrad has been an upward trend and I did really well on my DAT which I took a year after graduating. I'm currently finishing up my masters but It has barely helped my overall GPAs. Any suggestions on schools or advice in general? Feeling discouraged.

I'm a TX resident.. applying to those 3 schools for sure and still deciding my OOS choices.

Just on paper, it looks like you have pretty slim chance. The problem isn't the acceptance, its the interview. When they see a 2.5 science GPA, they steer away towards other candidates.

My advice to you is to call up every school your interested in and get some advice from their admission counselor.

The only thing I can think of right now is....post-bacc to bring up the science GPA, the problem is, you already did a masters (I am guessing in a biology field correct?), it may look counterproductive to go backwards. Perhaps post-bacc to retake those Cs, Ds, and F and any upper level biology not taken during the masters.

Yeah his gpas are bad but wouldnt they look favorably at his Masters gpa and isn't that separate from his undergrad gpa?

Yes, the masters and undergrad GPAs are separate, but they won't disregard the undergrad GPA, and I am even pretty certain the undergrad GPA is looked upon more favorably

Your DAT and masters GPA are respectable. I had a friend in a worse scenario than you and he received an interview from NYU. I think if you apply early, you can snag a few interviews. Good luck! If you have anymore questions, PM me.
