Hi everyone. I am thinking about applying to physical therapy schools in NY, Mainly Mercy College, Dominican College, and NYU.
I have an overall 3.3 gpa and a 3.8 prerequisite gpa, my GRE is a 153 Verbal, 158 Quant, 3.5 Essay.

I have over 80 hrs of outpatient PT and will acquire inpatient PT hrs before applying...
I also have over 180 hrs of miscellaneous volunteering, over 110 hrs of volunteering, over 180 of hospital volunteering.

However, I had an academic dismissal from a PA program in 2010 due to low science grades, but my prereq gpa is still strong at a 3.8.

Do I Have a good chance at getting in?

Yes, especially at a for profit school like South. 2010 was quite a long time ago so are your prereqs still good? If you had trouble with the sciences back then, are you even rustier now? Your application has holes but it's not impossible by any means. I'd study up and take the GRE one more time and snag a 4.0 min at the AWA, 3.5 is pretty bad to be honest. A lot of foreign students with poor English score a 3, which you did on one of your essays.

You should be ok. Make sure you really show why PT is the path for you. And don't forget those PA classes are averaged in for cum GPA.
