I have a non-science B.A. and a GPA of 3.4. I have decided to pursue dentistry. I am planning on taking some of the pre-requisites at a good California community college and then finish them at a formal post-bacc program. I did very well in science classes in the past and am getting straight A's so far in community college. Is it possible to get into a Dental School starting from this position? Thanks for your time.

Anything is possible. But you will have a better indication once you take your DAT.

It is not impossible.

Definitely possible. Do well on your DAT and you should be fine. Good luck!

It is possible, because I did it with almost the same bachelor's GPA. But there are lots of other factors, like getting a good DAT score, doing your due diligence with shadowing, and writing a strong personal statement. Some schools don't like CC credits, but I found most will accept some CC classes.
