Hi all,

Looking for words of wisdom and/or encouragement, but honesty above all. Here is the deal:

Status:
- Happily married with kids.
- Main bread-winner...work full-time in a high-tech company (10+ years).
- Have an electrical engineering degree from a non-USA / non-Canada school (will dental schools even consider this workl?). Undergrad GPA is 8/10.
- Have two M.Sc. degrees (one in Computer Science, one in Math) from USA schools.
- GPA in Grad. School (overall) is 3.36 / 4.0.
- I have 90+ Credit Hrs. in U.S. schools.
- Plan to get all A's in the pre-reqs for Dental School. If all goes as planned, I should improve to 3.56.
- If it doesn't go as planned, let's assume I will maintain the 3.36.

Do I have a fighting chance if we assume DAT AA scores of 17/18 with a 3.36 GPA? What can I expect with these credentials?

Thank you all in advance.

Sure do. In terms of age no worries. Kids no worries. GPA no worries. Previouse M.Sc. great. Bring those Dats up if possible. Then there's your interview. And of course a nagging wife. Just kidding, I hope you do well I entered Dental school at 31, a friend in class is 43. My Dentsit drove a coke truck for 15 years and switched to Dentistry. He is happy and very successful. Change is always hard when you have been established and in a comfort zone for some time. Good Luck.
