this is ridiculous. why would you not have a chance? your scores are far above average.

Your scores are good, but that 14 on RC will only serve to hurt you. Most schools require you to have a 15 on every section.

Is it possible for you to take it again?

i guss I have to retake it again. i was scoring 18 nad 19 on practice tests and now i'm affraid i retake it again and get same score on RC. Can anyone tell me how can i improve my RC ?

Reading Comprehension is extremely important, I got a 19 on RC and it was 61 percentile, a 14 must be well below the 50th percentile. You have great DAT scores for everything else but RC is sometimes weighed heavier then other sections. Retake..

There are so many applicants now-a-days that schools have to thin the herd so-to-speak. They do this with hard cut-offs. I think that many schools won't even see your exceptionaly high scores after seeing that 14. For example, AZ will probably break 4,000 applicants this year (or damn near it). They can't read all those and will have very strict minimums that will have your app in the trash at many schools.

Take it again.

I saw many tips on how to get a good score. I didn't practice at all and got a 22. Go to the DAT section of SDN and you will find tips and systems on how to get a good score.

For me, I used a scratch paper and wrote down between 5-10 key words of every paragraph and numbered them for quick reference. I'd then read the question, and scan my sheet to find the appropiate paragraph and fish out the answer. It worked for me. There are other systems too.

Good luck!

Same advice that everyone gets... call the school and ask! While I highly value the opinions on this board, they are just that -- opinions. Call the schools you're interested in and ask their opinion. If they tell you to retake, then do it 🙂

i agree. i took a kaplan online course and they teach you to scan and look for key words/stats in each paragraph and then number each paragraph and list key words or stats. ONLY SCAN THE PARAGRAPHS DO NOT READ THEM IN-DEPTH!!! then, after you have made a quick outline, which should take you 7-8 minutes, you allot yourself 7-8 minutes to answer the ?'s. you then use your outline as a reference for where to look to read more in depth to find the answer. so, you should only be spending 15-16 minutes/passage.

this strategy worked really well for me. i did great on RC and had literally 15 minutes to spare at the end of that section 😱
