I am from Indiana. I am going to be a senior at the University of Notre Dame. I went to Holy Cross College for one year and have a science GPA of 3.28 (24cred) and a science GPA at Notre Dame of 2.4 (22 cred). I am a double major of Finance and Pre-Dental. I am planning on applying to Indiana, Marquette, and Detroit Mercy (perhaps more?). I have not taken the DAT yet but I will in a month. If I score around 20-21ish, do you guys think I have a chance?

Do you think that schools give any type of inflation/boost for me since I go to school with a bunch of over-achievers which makes the grade curve difficult? Please let me know. Thanx

Not much of one...

If you want to get in, I suggest taking a lot more science courses and actually doing well in them...over-achievers aside

You'll have to get a high DAT, and show an upward GPA trend. Also, you need to apply to more than 3 schools (you mentioned you might) to have a decent shot. Don't do it half-baked.

at this era of dental applicants i'd apply to more than 10 schools if i were you. Actually, i did apply to 10 schools with your grades. Then again it wasn't as competitive as it is now.
