Hey guys, I just got an offer this morning from CASE. I was on their alternate list and they offered me a spot.

Their class begins on August 11th. I live in California and was wondering, do I have enough time to go out there to find a place and get the whole financial aid stuff settled and have like 3 days to relax before class begins? I feel that I dont have enough time and getting nervous, but based on your guys stories, can someone help me out with some advice?

Thanks in Advance!

I just want to make sure that I am not going to be in a mess about finding a place to live and how to pay for it when I only have like couple of days remaining until class begins.

Oh well.. I accepted the offer. Wish me Luck..

Good luck to everyone else out there that are on the alternate list. Dont lose hope. I lost hope, but luckily I got an offer.

Dude its not like they notified you a week after classes started....you have a month! Congrats!!!

Yeah I know I have about a month, but just wanted to know how long it took others to get settled. Were they rushed? Were they relaxed? etc etc...

Thanks tho...

Thanks, did you apply to many schools?
With those stats I would think you would have many interviews and gotten in a few places.

Well I applied to about 13 schools, got 5 interviews. 4 schools put me on their alternate list and 1 school rejected me (Loma Linda... go figure..).

I took my DAT around September 23rd (kinda late??)... so this is why maybe I didn't get in anywhere cept CASE??? who knows...

All you really have to worry about is finding a place to live, right? Just get on the internet, find some cheap place near the school, and go with it! I used http://www.apartmentratings.com/ to find a place. I'm moving into an apartment I've never seen in Denver on Monday. It had good reviews on that site, and I've already checked out the neighborhood for nearby shopping and bars and my bike route to school on Google Maps. Just do a short term lease so if it ends up sucking you can move. Of course, you'll need to have some cash or a credit card on hand, but you'd need those starting anyway.

You should be able to get all the application stuff done via fax or internet and have your apartment by the end of this week! Utilities just take a few minutes on the phone or internet, and you are ready.

You could try calling the school and find people looking for a roomy, but everyone's probably settled in by now.

Most importantly, though, you are in! Congratulations.

Most ppl are moving less than a month before school starts. You have plenty of time. You need to secure an apartment first. I suggest going up to Case to find one and sign your lease. Then spend the rest of your time getting stuff together. I knew a girl last yr who had only a week to move to Temple from Texas. You need to hit the ground running.

i just went through this whole process with case, although i had one more month on you.. PM me if you have any questions!

Congrats! You will be fine. Start looking on craigs list and everything will fall into place!.
