Do I have to finish post bac program within a year?

Hi guys.
I am currently doing biology post bac program in my university. I have to take 30 credits for this and I have completed 9 credits so far with 3.55 GPA and probably two more semesters to complete. I am already taking the summer semester off and planned to go back to school this fall. But due to money and complex life issues I don' think I can go back. I am starting to get really worried that this is going to affect my application for 2009 (not this year). Do you think taking two semesters off during post bac program is bad?
I don't have any other option in my situation now.. really depressed...

I think it should be fine as long as you finish it before you would be entering dental school.

Like NavyDDS mentioned, I don't think it will matter unless you have yet to finish your pre-reqs. Otherwise, your application in '09 might be placed on hold until you fulfill their requirements. My application is currently being placed on hold at one school pending a DAT retake, and I can tell you it's far from an enviable situation.
