Is it necessary for most schools I am applying to that I have a LOR from my pre-med advisor? There is no premed comittee at my school. I currently have a letter from 3 professors and my research lab PI

You do not need an LOR from your premed advisor. Your letters should be fine.

Some schools don't have premed committees, but will arrange an LOR packet for you. Ask your premed advisor if your school has that service. If so, you should definitely use it.

If you have a pre-med committee, most schools require that you get a letter from the committee. You'll have to explain why you didn't get a letter. If you don't have a committee, do what you want.
