Do I need to take Calculus if my school says that my AP credit suffices for one semester of calculus 1? I'm just scared when I apply to med schools they'll be like we don't see that AP credit is valid and you can't apply for med school because you didn't do a semester of Calculus. I'm fine with doing a semester of calculus it's just I don't want to waste my time taking calculus when I can better myself in Bio or Chem 2

Nope, 99% of places sub 1 semester of Statistics for 1 semester of Calc. On top of that, 1 semester is typically fine anyway.

It's pointless in medical schools. Stats is more important. Unless you plan on trying to attend a top tier medical school.

Most medical schools take AP credits. You'll want to double check all of the schools you end up applying to, but you'll be fine. I also got AP Calc credit and never took it in college, had no issues.
