I recently graduated from a 4 year university. I just moved home and will be taking physics 1 & 2 at a local community college this year. It will likely be a couple of years before I actually apply to medical school. I still need to take the MCAT and would like to have a few years of work experience under my belt before I return to school. My main question is whether or not I need to take Gen Bio 1 & 2. I got credit for AP Bio at my college before I even began my freshman year. I did not take into consideration that it may have been beneficial to have taken those courses at my college. I ended up taking additional biology courses throughout my college career. I took cell bio, microbiology, genetics, A&P 1 & 2, and biochem. Should I enroll for the general biology course at the community? Is it necessary to take general bio or will any of the other courses I have taken satisfy the requirement? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
