Here is my Email letter. I haven't sent it out yet.. please take a look and see if it's appropriate..
Hi! Dear Dr. XXX:
My name is XXXX. It's been one month since the interview(interviewed on Feb 12th, 2008), and I haven't heard any news from the school.
From the visit, I enjoyed the family-like atmosphere surrounding the dentistry students and would love to spend four years of life in Boston Dental school.
I look forward from the school soon.
Yours truly,
XXXX

I recommend you call them instead. If you send an email you might be waiting awhile for a response, if they ever do respond. Calling them shows more interest and forces them to tell you something.
friend edited for me..
is this good enough?

Boston Dental School has one of the most pleasant and family-oriented atmosphere. It makes me feel like home in Canada. I look forward to be able to study in such an environment. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you and have a great day.

Just wondering whether this sounds professional enough on the phone to my interviewer...
Hi! Is this Dr. XXX speaking (Yes....blah blah) Hello! Dr. XXX, This is XXX calling from Toronto, Canada. How are you? If you remember, I had the honor to interview by you back in February 12th. I am just wondering how did the interview result turn out to be ?
Hey Tim,
Which school do you go to. I attend U of T. Anyways dont worry about correctness and all of that cherry talk. Just call the people and in a respectful way ask whats up. I am sorry you did not post this earlier cause I personally would not have waited 4 weeks to start making enquires. Forget about editing - Email and Call them NOW!!!!!!!

Honestly I think both of your letters sound too informal. And it appears to me that English is not your first language based on your grammar so I would definitely try to write out what to say beforehand.
if you call, you most certainly won't get the Dr. on the phone immediately.
You should ask:
Hello, may I please speak with Dr. X. My name is "Mr. Y" and this is regarding our previous meeting on Feb 12th. I understand he's busy but I anticipate this to be a short and simple conversation and would appreciate it if he could give me a moment of his time.
Well if he's not available, could you please let me know what time I should call back today or tomorrow in order to reach him?
if not: then please give him my name and number. I'm most easily available during these times (X and Y) but will certainly make the time for him during different hours if given advance notice.
Don't say you're from Canada. why would you do that? international students are at a disadvantage. if you say you're from Canada and you're not memorable to him, he can tell his secretary to take care of your file without a second thought. Being from Canada has nothing to do with your or your meeting personally.
you either say " I was interviewed by you" or "interviewed with you"
"result turn out to be" is also incorrect and he is not allowed to tell you over the phone.
how about "I would appreciate any insight on when my next status notification might be sent out. Why? Well I'm in the process of arranging my plans for next year regarding living conditions and budgeting and any insight on my much anticipated admission to your school would of course greatly influence my decision".
