I know a couple of path-trained dermatopathologists who in addition to seeing slides perform skin biopsies and see patients mainly for skin cancer screenings. Will private insurance or medicare reimburse path-trained dermatopathologists for clinical dermatology and procedures such as biopsies?

Yes, they do reimburse.

anybody can get paid by medicare, etc for skin biopsies. or at least when i was in practice.
