How often in interviews for DO school does the question of "Why do you want to be a DO?" come up and how are you prepared to answer the question?

Why do you guys even ask this? You know what the answer is, and you also know that you won't get it unless the applicant is either extremely honest, ignorant, or both. So what's the point in asking the question? What are you even looking for?I'll ask it if I can't get a good sense of why DO? from the essays.
You should ALWAYS be prepared to answer it!
It's like asking why we put 15 decorative pillows on beds. It's just a formality. Why do you guys even ask this?
