DO letter

I recently just started shadowing a DO orthopedic surgeon and will be working for him as a medical assistant. Will it look bad if I receive a good letter of rec from him after a couple of weeks shadowing/working for him?

I shadowed a DO ENT in my hometown, could only stay for a couple weeks. I asked her for a letter of rec and she was totally fine with. I shadowed her 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. If that is the only DO you have shadowed and if he seems like a nice person, might as well ask. The worst that could happen is that he says no.

I didn't know anyone shadowed doctors for that long at a time. The couple of times I did it it seemed like the unspoken assumption was that it would be for just a day or two.

@acapnial We keep in contact. When I'm free, I usually just call him up and he lets me shadow him.
