If the piercings aren't new, I'd consider wearing some clear plastic studs just for the interview. I don't know how much it matters. I left my two in (a helix and a tragus), and many of my classmates have multiple ear piercings, as well as nose studs. Nothing really more 'extreme' than that.

I have a helix and a forward helix. Next month, I am getting a 16 gauge vertical lobe piercing. All of my piercings are modest... I worked fast food and they allowed it. I could just switch my hoops for something that isn't dangly and that is less noticable.

They want me to be creative with what I do for volunteering. They suggest that I change my minor to something not related to the sciences to show that I am well rounded. Unless they want to reimburse me $210 for my piercings, I won't take it them out, because if they all close up, that's how much I wasted.

Hey, when that time comes, I'll just wear my hair down, haha.

I plan on applying when I'm done my bachelor of science. I just started university, and I'm already stressing over vet school, lol.

I've been worrying about "looks" during interviews for vet school. I myself am overweight, and I worry that this fact may hurt me during the interviews. What do you all think? Do you have to be 'pretty' or 'handsome' to be a vet, does being overweight or unattractive reduce your chances of acceptance?

i think being as gorgeous as brad pitt may boost ur chance 😍 but still nothing is better than having good results, PR skills and good CCA record

Ok, so since I have time now to obsess, I am doing so. I keep reading the advice of "wear a solid color suit" to interviews. However, I am planning on wearing a jacket and dress pants (exactly like a suit, and bought to be worn together, but the pieces are coordinating rather than matching exactly).

Having worked in professional environments for the past 4 years, I have no doubt that this outfit is completely professional and appropriate. But now I'm wondering...will this stand out? In a good way? I'm probably going to stick with it either way, as it's new and therefore in better shape than any of my other suits, but I'm curious. For people who've interviewed in past years, what have you worn or seen others wear? (Details appreciated!)

Solid colors are good, but as long as you look well put together its fine. I wore a suit with thin stripes, and it worked fine. Some things I saw there that I personally wouldn't have worn included a velvet suit that looked like it was from the 80's. Just stay professional and up-to-date, and I'm sure it will be fine.

I wore dress pants with a nice(cashmere?) sweater and black flat shoes. Make sure what ever you wear is comfortable and you can hike around a campus in it all day.
