I'm just curious if having a quality LOR from a DO who is also a residency director has any impact on admissions at the school which they are alumni.

I'm just curious if having a quality LOR from a DO who is also a residency director has any impact on admissions at the school which they are alumni.

Absolutely. Having a DO LOR alone helps show interest in the profession, but having someone who is an alumni might help show interest in the specific school. Of course it all depends on if their name is known to the admissions committee and the weight they put on a single LOR. Again, its one piece of your entire application. Good Luck!
