I have everything in at all of my schools except my DO lor. I gave him evaluation forms a little over a month ago and now I cannot get a hold of him by email or phone. What should I do? I know that I cannot get interviews until I am complete at schools. I also called around about shadowing another DO and possibly having him/her write a lor for me, but it doesn't look very good right now. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thats not cool that you cant get in contact w/ him. Do all DO schools require a letter from a DO? If you can add schools that dont req one. Is there no other way to contact the doctor who wrote you the letter? If all else fails try to shadow another DO a couple times and see if they can write you a letter. Hope it works out for you!

Some schools you can get interviews at before being complete. I interviewed at NSU-COM before my DO letter was in. And some schools recommend a D.O. letter but will accept an M.D. letter (a DO letter not being necessary). Others (such as NSUCOM) require a DO letter.

Thats terrible that you cant get in touch with him. Hopefully hell respond soon otherwise try and find another DO to shadow or at least sit down with a DO so he/she can write you a letter. Good Luck in the application process!!!

Can you go visit him personally? If so you should goto his office.

This isn't going to help with your situation, however, I asked a DO to write a Lor 13 weeks ago, and he still hasn't gotten them all in yet. I work in a healthcare facility and I can just walk across the hall and get ahold of him. I've made contact with him multiple times asking him if there was anything I could do. I feel for your plight. 🙁
