When I transitioned from the NHSC Scholarship repayment into the Loan Repayment Program, even though my scholar obligation ended on Sep 2nd, it took a bit of time for NHSC to close out my scholar service and approve me for loan repayment. Therefore, my loan repayment cycle now is from Sep 20th, to Sep 19th of two years later.
When you apply for a continuation contract, does the same thing happen, where your cycle date gets pushed back a week or two, or do they start the additional year immediately after your first two year stint is up? It looks like they may be waiting for me to finish my cycle before they approve my application since it's still under review. I hope the date stays the same, because otherwise it may push me into a different application cycle for the following year if it doesn't. Thanks.
