Just wondering if anyone had info on this combined program? Also, what you feel are the benifits and drawbacks of it?

From what I know, there IS NOT a combined program.

I hear that they have tried to have a combined program in recent years and someone told me they do offer the business courses, but there is no accredited MBA degree that goes along with the program.

If you're looking for a combined DO/MBA there are other schools that offer it. PCOM offers a 5 year program with St. Joseph's University and NOVA offers a program that is fairly new. I think the NOVA is a 4 year program.

NYCOM does have a fully accredited MBA program through NYIT (New York Institute of Technology). The difference between this program and the one offered at PCOM is that I believe PCOM's program is free to PCOM students. NYCOM students have to pay for the MBA as any onther student of NYIT would have to. It is fully accredited though. Also, like PCOM and NOVA's program, NYCOM MBA students to not have to take the GMAT, so long as they scored in the 50th percentile on the MCAT. Hope this helps.

PCOM's program is NOT free. It is a 5 year combined program, so it will cost you an extra year's worth of tuition ($24K-$26K).

Also, you do not need to take GMAT or anythign like that as long as you meet certain GPA requirements and have an MCAT in the 50th percentile.
