Do med schools you apply to know anything about where you are in the application process (i.e., if you've gotten interviews) at any other med schools you are applying to? Or would they only know if you told them? I'm just wondering, since I know that adcoms have admitted to having their "way" of finding out whether or not you hold more than one acceptance by a certain date (May 15). But is that all they can find out about your relationship with other schools?

My friend who went through the process last year told me that they only know where you're accepted. They don't know about interviews and furthermore, you do not have to tell them.

Schools don't know anything about where you're applying, where you've interviewed, etc... After 5/15, however, they do know your acceptance status.

According to my premed tutor, they are not even supposed to ask you where else you're applying, but I got that question all the times last year.
