do med schools look at course description or course code?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Take the one you did poorly in. Allopathic (MD) schools do not replace grades (and "averaging" really just means they take both courses for full credit). In other words, it won't matter. What will matter is how well you know the information (and can apply it) when you take the MCAT.

I'm in the same boat as I transferred schools and the Bio 1 there matches up almost exactly with the Bio 2 at the new school.

OP, by any chance do you go to Temple?

Just curiously, what did you want to transfer? A brief answer will do if you don't want to share details.

I know you need to retake Bio 102....it think they look at both....but usually the desciption just says something like principles of bio....

I would just sign up for Bio 102.....at least the number is correct and I doubt anything else will come of it...

Temple is VERY odd by doing their biology backwards. From what I've gotten out of one of the pre-med advisors is that med schools will only look at course descriptions if something seems funny or if you get put on hold. Take it for what its worth since it was only a quick meeting in the hallway.
