I know that this question has been asked in previous threads, but I have not found it recently: Can Med schools see that you took the MCAT if you voided your score?

Recently I heard that they can, however I have been previously informed that they cannot.

Just wondering as I voided my score in August and plan to retake in Janruary.

Thanks!

Hey thanks for the the reponse,

I know the void option is there so they can't see what you would have scored...but I'm still wondering if they can simply see that you actually sat for the test and decided to void the score (regardless of what that score may have been).

no i dont think so but they might ask if you have taken the mcat previously during the interview

They can ask and you can say no. I don't think there's any way for them to find out that you actually sat down and voided...since the voided option's purpose is exactly that. No one finding out you wrote and didn't want the score to calculated.

No, they can't. Voiding makes it as if you never took the test.

Thanks all 🙂 That's what I was hoping for.

"Indication of a voided exam will be displayed in the MCAT THx system, but the fact that you chose to void an exam is not released to any medical schools."

^ That clears up the possible confusion that my source may have interpreted. Thank you for looking it up!
