If they don't ask, then wouldn't it not matter to them if you have taken an online course since they won't know if they don't ask?

I had 2 of 19 ask - but one of was only if the course was a pre-req. If it wasn't they didn't seem to want to know about it or care. Most don't ask, but I would still suggest only taking non-prereq classes online since they'll be able to see on the transcripts if you loaded up the 'hard' premed courses online.
But even my transcripts don't seem to indicate that a course was taken online. I wonder if it's just my university that doesn't show that.
