Okay so I am taking math at my local community college this summer. I am horrible at precalculus and already failed it twice at my college (I study, I go to tutoring, etc.) because we are known for having one of the hardest math programs in the country 😡. My university won't transfer in the community college precalc credit unless I pass precal part one here first (it doesn't make sense to me but whatever)! So if I don't pass it at my home university but take it at community college anyways (and have it not transfer), will medical schools look at that? and how will that affect my chances of getting in medical school?

I am doing very well in all my other classes, including sciences, humanities and my major and minor. I just don't want math to be the reason why I won't get into medical school. How many doctors really need calculus 🙁

Also, I've looked at my friends precal work from community college and it is soooo much easier compared to my precal work (that is why I think I can pass it there)

You are required to report all grades for all classes when you apply to medical school. Since math is a BCPM course, your BCPM GPA and cGPA will be lowered by your poor grades in math courses. That certainly won't help your cause when you apply but a few poor grades won't keep you out of medical school, depending on what your GPA is.
