Do most people who match into T10 IM programs do aways there?

The general consensus I've read is that for IM applicants, away rotations are not recommended, since you can hurt yourself more than it helps you. Is this true for elite programs as well? Are most of the people that match at mayo/stanford/UTSW etc NOT doing away rotations there?

(stats: USMD, T30 med school, half honors half letters, anticipate high step 2 score, no AOA)

Of all my classmates who matched top 10 IM (15+ students), none did aways.

Was this at a T10 med school though? 15+ students matching at top 10 programs seems anomalous

People matching into these top tier programs are not doing away rotations to these programs

If you go to a top 30 medical school, matching 15+ students into top 10-15 programs is not necessarily anomalous. Just look at the match list for a place like Case Western Reserve which has no problem matching that number into the top tier places
