Is it 5 years of the same yearly tuition? Or do you get scholarships for doing the MPH?
I heard it helps when your applying to residencies to have a MPH. Is this true?

The MPH is not worth the time and effort for residency applications.
The time and effort would be MUCH better spent in research, getting better board scores/gpa, etc. Unless you plan on a career in research or public health, don't do it.
Some schools can get you an MPH in the same 4 years of med school. Some residencies can get you an MPH in the same required years as other residencies. Every place is different. I would ask each school individually how their's works.
