So, full disclosure, I have been working on and off the past few weeks on a document/master list of general Osteopathic School information including locations, average stats, general info, etc.

Well, long story short I was browsing today and found out that I was beaten to the draw by AACOM. They recently launched a MSAR-like program (for free?) Where you can pretty much do everything I was going to do in a much more streamlined process.

Enjoy, I hope this helps you guys!

This lacks the details that make the MSAR actually useful: average stats (including 10th-90th percentiles) and acceptance rates (including IS vs. OOS).

Agreed while most of the information is nice, those stats/rates are what most people are looking for when they apply to each school.

They do have a sliding scale where you can put median acceptance ratings by GPA or MCAT, but having concrete numbers per school is more useful imo.

I could work on compiling this info for use by SDN folks, but I am unsure where to obtain this data.

Unless you get it from an independent third party, results could be...faulty.
That is only one of my beefs with US Snooze. Self reported "data" is usually self-serving.

Would contacting the schools themselves yield any results? And just saying I am compiling data to assist future classes of students? "For science!"

Schools tend to define things in a way that puts them in a good light.
They choose means (or medians) as the measure of central tendency, as it suits...
They just can't resist fudging the numbers to achieve desired ends.

So what you're saying is...
...it's hopeless 🙁

Darn it.
