Hi all,
I want to offer hope to my SDN brethren who have GPAs on the low side and are facing the demoralizing agony of hearing rejection after rejection. It's been a long, hair-wrenching cycle, but the mana of God rained down on me this past Tuesday and I was accepted.
My app in brief:
3.2 GPA
41 MCAT (14B, 14P, 13V)
2 publications in Nature
3 publications in the NEJM
Student Treasurer of Ivy League College
Ex-Navy Seal
Founded a non-profit, college-access organization for inner-city youth
Olympic Athlete (pole vaulting)
Well...I've done it. I was accepted at Spartan Medical School and will be matriculating in 2013 to grind through four years of academic hell for the 50% chance of slipping into an FP program by the skin of my teeth.
Best of luck to everyone! You can do it!
