I am going to be attending an open house this weekend at an osteopathic school and wanted to see what the consensus was on what to wear to this...? Button down shirt? Slacks and a polo? Etc. Has anyone gone to one of these that could weigh in?

Business casual. Slacks or good quality khakis, no jeans. You can probably get away with a polo shirt on the west coast, but I'd stick to a button-down on the east coast.

Button down and a pair of khakis would be perfect!

I went to one recently, and the attire ranged from gym clothes to suits. Most people were in business casual though. Nobody seemed to care either way.

Yup button down and slacks seems to be the way to go. Guessing your going to a Philadelphia school 😉 if it's this Friday I'll be giving tours! See ya then if that's the case

Dress for the job you want. (Hint: if you want to be Batman OR a doctor. Wear the suit, not the Batman Costume to the open house. Save the Batman costume for when you perform vigilante justice.)

I would advise against gym clothes or sweats and tee shirts from personal experience... I may or may not have been that guy.... I don't think it was against the rules but whoever that guy was definitely seemed (and felt) out of placed😉

or just use common sense...? What do you think people wear to events held in professional settings?
