I'm panicking a little bit...but if one does not get interview from their top schools by december, does it mean that our chances of getting one later are slim to none? It seems that a lot of people are getting interviewed everywhere! What happens to the people that do not get interviewed this early? Also, what months do the interview season end?

If I get interviewed in say..March, does that mean I'm at the bottom of their applicant pool?

thanks all

If the school is rolling, then getting an interview early is probably helpful. If it doesn't use rolling admissions, then it probably doesn't make much difference.

   it was sort of meant as a sarcastic comment since people thought if they didn't have interviews by now, their chances of acceptances were slim. my point was to imply it couldn't be true since August MCATers wouldn't get an interview until their scores were in, so obviuosly adcoms are not done offering interviews..

you are fine
do not panic
there are lots and lots of places left
I had 1 interview before December last year and the rest January-April
I still had multiple acceptances

Yale = last interview + last acceptance + my new home.

Hopkins is rolling, and I as well as several classmates interviewed in February then were admitted in March. No one knows how med schools pick their interview order.

I know it's hard not to freak out, but you've done everything you can at this point, so thinking about this too hard is not constructive.

As i see it, aren't most schools rolling admissions?

if so, then being interviewed late means lower chance...

Some are, some are not. I wouldn't stress about it - what can you do?

But, if you are looking for something to worry about, go right ahead.

I didn't interview at Creighton until the the first week of April. I just started my second year.
