I've been very worried about this but I am applying for fall 2013 cycle at age 19.
I only applied to USC because of it and figured just wait one more year. I'm just waiting for USC to give me an interview (Meh). If I don't get in this cycle I will try again for fall 2014 cycle and apply to all CA schools. Through networking/connections, I was pre-selected at a partially accredited school in California.
I also graduated from a pharm tech school with 330 hours of inpatient hospital pharmacy internship. I did 1.5 year genetics research at my university. I have been involved in many clubs but I have no solid volunteering experience(my main concern). I've been volunteering ever since so that I can add for the next app cycle.
My LoRs came from my Pharm tech instructor and research advisor.
My personal statement followed the prompt. I talked about how I was eager and motivated to learn about pharmacy by enrolling in a pharm tech program while at school, manage academic research with my studies, my internship at the hospital pharmacy, and my very young age. I talked about doing an infectious disease residency, get into clinical research and teaching. =__= That's about it.
PS: I already have a bachelor in microbiology and been applying for lab tech or pharm tech jobs. I received a lot of invitations for interviews but didn't get any call back
PSS: What are my chances?!! I know it's lame but I'm just super anxious and paranoid....
