Do Pod schools contact references?

I am only finding this for MD/DO schools but is it the same for Pod schools?

One of my volunteer positions was run by a woman that retired and I do not know the new manager in charge. I would just hate for them to contact the new person for whatever reason and have no clue who I am.

With the amount of apps schools receive, it is unlikely they will directly contact your references to confirm every detail. The most important thing is being able to talk about it all in the interview.

I wouldn't be surprised if they contacted your references. Like if you volunteered at a place for 2 years why wouldn't they contact them if they wanted to get to know a little more about you.
