DO programs on University Campuses

Does anyone know of D.O. programs that are directly on a campus with an undergraduate program/community?

I think it would be a lot of fun to go to medical school with an undergraduate program, to keep living that college dream. I went to UCSD for undergrad who's medical school is right in the middle of campus, and it was great to integrate with the medical students.

It seemed like they enjoyed it, as well. Pub after finals, basketball games, school music festivals.

Any colleges of osteopathic medicine fit this description?

Nova's med school is part of the larger university and close to the undergrad campus, OSU's is probably close (never been), don't know about MSU, but could be another one.

These. VCOM is nearby and is associated with Va Tech as well, WVU I'd assume is probably there as well. Other than that there really isn't that kind of experience with DO schools since most are private and independently established. You will see almost all MDs are associated with larger universities but very few DO

VCOM is located on VT's research campus which is about a 5 minute drive from the regular campus. VCOM also uses the same transportation system as VT so you are basically integrated with everything that the undergrad campus does, and I always saw VCOM students out and about at the bars and games and whatnot. WVSOM is not located anywhere remotely near WVU, and is about 30-40 min from VT.

NSU and MSUCOM are on university campus. NSU is pretty darn big but I don't get how people can take the humidity of certain parts of Florida. We were sweating just standing there in our suits.

I think its a plus living with the undergraduate and graduate community; DMU was TINY! They said that they had free wi-fi throughout the "campus" but it was only about 5 buildings! The perimeter of the campus was roughly 300 meters. (Half of it was empty space between buildings) The tour took a lot less time than I was expecting...

👍 Gracias. I thought that WVSOM was near/affiliated with WVU, guess I was wrong. I didn't apply there so it didn't matter.

I almost applied to VCOM because of its affiliation with VT but I didn't think I had a shot because of their Appalachian preference

I went to undergrad at a HUGE university with all the grad, undergrad, professional, etc, programs on the main campus. After spending 4 years there, I was definitely ready for a smaller/more personalized feel.

Hahaha, I totally agree about the humidity at NSU too. It was my first interview, and I was super nervous to take my jacket off when we were touring the housing, but I was DYING!

You're quite welcome. I must agree that WVSOM is a bit confusing, especially for someone on the west coast. I would have definitely had to do some research to figure out where it is if it wasn't located so closely to ye olde alma mater, and if I didn't go to WVU my freshman year.

WCU-COM is located on the william carey hattiesburg campus.

OUCOM is on campus. It's on the bio, engineering, and health sciences area of campus. From the sounds of it you'd like it. It's very college town.

Just to clarify, OSU-COM is in Tulsa (not Stillwater- where the main OSU campus is)...
