Curious as to whether or not ERAS automatically releases board scores once your results come in, specifically Step 2-CS/PE. I ask because my score wasn't released until recently (October) long after I'd submitted ERAS, and at an interview I had a PD ask me if I had passed my PE exam. So does ERAS automatically update and release Step 2 to all the programs once your score is released or do I need to contact all the programs I applied to and let them know I passed? I assume it's the former, but haven't been able to find anything on this...

There may be a setting in our side of the portal, but I doubt it. I'm sure it is released, but most programs won't bother checking for it if it wasn't in the initial packet. Certainly at our program we don't get a notification if someone's Step 2 CS gets submitted.

No, ERAS doesn't automatically release USMLE scores, you need to re-release every time you get a new score (go to Documents>USMLE reports>etc). The good news is, you don't have to pay for re-releases.

Don't email programs. Anyone whom is interested will see it.
Do they see it or not when they review my application?
I got a 260+ score on step 2 submitted after eras on september 23rd. If programs see my step 2 score as missing because they downloaded their apps before I submitted my score, I am going to email them.
