Do residency years count as practicing years

When they list a physician as having such and such years practicing do residency years count?

I noticed that on UCLA's "Find a Physician website" recently. I thought it odd, but a good way to instill more confidence in newly-practicing docs for those seeking a physician that's accepting new patients.

On the healthgrades/vitals/etc. of the world, yes it counts anything you did post-grad as "years of experience". As a resident, my pages state that I have years of experience currently.
