When I first started pharmacy school, everyone told me GPA only matters, if you're interested in applying for a residency. I was just wondering if this is starting to change with the job market becoming more competitive. For example, if it comes down to two equally qualified/experienced candidates, will GPA be the deciding factor? My GPA is probably about average for my class.

retails care about your gpa as much as they care about what you had for breakfast.

if you have a license & can count by fives...then you are equal to
the 3.9 gpa student

if you can kiss @$$... then you will have an edge

do they care what school you went to?

No. It's about work experience, how long you've been with the company, and your connections especially if the location is more saturated.

yes, you need a 2.0 or higher. Anything lower and you are screwed.
