Hello

I am waitlisted at DO school. I may send letter of intent. but before I do, how's their anesthesiology matching?
I'm waitlisted at the seton hill location

Matching into anesthesia will be entirely in you and not have much to do with your school, regardless where you attend. Match lists are not a great way to figure out anything like this. If you see no matches in anesthesia, maybe no one applied. If you see tons of anesthesia matches, maybe they were all backups for people who failed to match into a surgical sub, etc.

Seton hill is established and cheap. Good choice if you can stand the Lecom stuff. If you don’t match a specialty from there, it’s not bc the school.

Dress code, stupid rules, etc. Lecom just doesn’t try to sell you warm and fuzzy feelings for $20k more per year. It’s the right choice for someone who can just let dumb stuff roll of their back. I’ve worked with multiple people from different lecoms. They all have a similar experience of thinking they were given good training but hated the admin.

I actually picked a more expensive school over seton hill and regret it. Theres stupid stuff at every school. Should’ve saved my money 😛
