School!

I think with the DO school in texas things are different

Besides Texas schools (I guess), you need to wait for the individual schools to ask you for LOR's. They will tell you how many they want and from who they want them. So right now, just get them ready so that when the school asks for them you can get them immediately.

do you have a premedical committee at your undergrad?

Unfortunately, I do not. Canadian pre-meds don't have that luxury.

You know, I don't post much here; instead, I spend most of my time reading. You have quite a few posts in the coupl of years since you have been here. Do you ever actually read other posts? For instance, you don't have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page of the Pre-Osteopathic forum to find another thread called "LORs." It was posted on 4-11-2006, three days ago, and asked "Are letters of recommendation sent with the primary or secondary?" This was pretty well answered then if I do recall correctly. Yeah, call me an @sshole for pointing all this out. I would expect it from a newbie, but you've been around a while, since 2004. Look before you post.
