I have a question about the schools that look at your "best" score. Do they combine your best section scores if you took the MCAT more than once (like schools did for SATs), or do they just look at your best score for one test. To me, I think it would be pretty hard to overlook a much better section score just because it wasn't on your best scored test and not combine it to make your best overall score. I say this b/c it would mean a difference of 2 points for my best score. Any ideas/exerience with this?

The same applies to me. If they take the best in each section for me i go from a 32 to a 36 (I dropped from a 13 to 9 in PS on my retake, but went up on the other two sections). I asked around previously and someone on SDN posted the list of schools that officially say they take the best in each section.

UC Davis; UCLA; George Washington; Emory; Boston University; Tufts; Wake Forest; Mt. Sinai; Eastern Virginia; Virginia Commonwealth

Hope this helps...

I hope whoever gave you that list is right because I applied to 4 of those schools on that list.

wow, this list is a lot longer than I've seen on previous threads on this topic. Can folks verify that Mt. Sinai and BU takes best of individual sections as well? I haven't heard of those before and they weren't on the list my premed adviser confirmed for me.

thanks!

any other schools? i have searched the forum, but could not find the "list"

does anyone know how to confirm this information? I can't find anything on it online
