Do schools interview before OAT scores?

Hi guys, am new to this forum and am just looking for some insight of people who are going through the same prosses. Am applying to optometry school for 2005. I'm taking the OAT in October and I already have my first interview for next week? Do many schools interview students without having OAT scores.
Since am applying to get in under the 90 credit program, I dont know if am as competitiva as some one with a BA degree? I have a high gpa and experience but I dont know what to think?
I live in Florida so I defenitetly want to go to NOVA? Has any one apply there or being interview?

Yes, most schools will interview you before they have your OAT scores- they just won't accept you until they receive them. As far as not having the degree, some schools less likely to admit you than others without one, but I would say that NOVA will definately admit you with a high GPA and no BS or BA as long as your OAT is fine. I have applied to NOVA quite a few yrs ago (back in late 1990's)- they were very friendly and I was the most relaxed in their interview compared to the other schools that I have applied to. NOVA is an absolutely beautiful campus in a nice area of the Ft Lauderdale area, and the facilities are also nice. Good luck in getting accepted.

I interviewed before I took the OAT, right around this time of the year, too. The schools I applied to held onto my applications and I was notified of my acceptance within a day or two (maybe even the same day, can't remember now) of my OAT scores coming back in early December.
