Do schools only look at the optomcas GPA during the admission process?

My GPA is a lot higher than the actual because I retook a few classes. During the application process, do schools only look at the GPA that is listed on optomcas? And once you get accepted they ask for an official transcript to verify info? Also, will my optomcas application show the repeated courses for the schools to see? Because you have to put all your attempted courses so I wasn't sure. Is that only used to calculate GPA?
