Do schools send responses on the weekends?

Do schools generally send either invitations to interview and/or rejections/other info over the weekend?

I am sorry if this is either a silly question or already on SDN.

I saw on someone's MDApps profile of their app being complete on a Friday and rejected the next Sunday by VCU. The user appealed the decision because it looked fishy but was told that adcoms had access to files over the weekend.

Some schools do, they look automated though.

I got some info last year on weekends. One school sent me a rejection email at 11pm on a Saturday night- what the heck???

And then Texas med schools sent acceptances after 6pm Friday night and throughout the weekend since Nov. 15 was a Sunday last year and they were allowed to start accepting 6pm on Friay the 13th...

It happens.
