DO schools with close rotation sights
Started by Andres Ponce
Touro NV - they will set up all your rotations in the Las Vegas area except for any away rotations that you choose to do. This is a big reason I picked them over AZCOM. I won't be forced to move around, and from what I've gathered it doesn't take long to get all over Vegas.
I just realized you asked about East Coast. But still, you might like to know!

Western/COMP told us at the interview that their rotation sites are all w/in 30min drive of the campus.
All of CCOM's are in the Chicagoland metro area. I heard from a recent grad that many of his classmates managed to get all of their sites in the city and commute using public transportation exclusively. Part of it depends on a lottery/ranking system. He elected to do a few in the suburbs because he wanted to work with certain attendings. But you won't have to relocate or drive to someplace like Peoria. From what I heard, a majority of the students live in the city 3rd and 4th years. And those that don't do so by choice.
Umdnj-Som works with the Kennedy and Our lady of Lordes systems. There's one Kennedy across from the school in Stratford, one in cherry hill (15-20 min), and one in washinton twp(15-20 min away). We also use Our lady Of Lordes in Camden (20 min awa). There might be a the rare student from another school doing away rotations there, but primarily there are only umdnj-som students and residents there. You can also do away rotations if you wish, but you can stay in system for almost every rotation if you so desire.

Which, with LA traffic, is a 1-2 hour drive! 👍
what about the other DO schools out west-Touro CA, and AZCOM?

AZCOM doesn't have enough spaces for all their students in the Phoenix area. There are spots in Tucson, some "rural" areas, and I think a few out of state. Not 100% sure about Touro CA since I didn't apply there.
All of CCOMs sites, at least when I was there were within metro Chicago. The overwhelming majority of third and fourth years live in the city and go to their respective hospitals. I spent a large part of my time at Cook County which was a 5mile drive....at 5am, theres no traffic = awesome.
NSU-COM - all rotations in Florida. If you want to stay in South Florida, you are basically guaranteed. The further sites like Tampa, Orlando are actually tougher to snag in the rotation lottery than the local ones. I can't complain about the quality of the clinical sites either.
